Who is the Zen & Zest Retreat for?
This retreat is for anyone looking to connect with themselves through movement and creativity. Whether you're a beginner exploring Brazilian Zouk and Cuban Salsa, or an experienced dancer refining your skills, you'll find the supportive environment perfect for growth. All levels are welcome—just bring a willingness to learn and participate.

Do I need prior dance experience?
While some familiarity with Zouk or salsa basics (timing, partner connection) is helpful, it’s not required. Beginners will receive prep materials to build confidence before arriving, and workshops are designed to support all levels.

What’s included in the full Zen & Zest Retreat?

• Accommodation: 6 nights in a beautiful accommodation in Tamraght, walking distance from the beach.

• Daily dance workshops: Masterclasses in salsa (Cuban-linear fusion), Afro-Cuban movement, connection and contemporary, and Brazilian Zouk with expert instructors. Dance styles depend on your package of choice.

• Relaxation and rejuvenation sessions: Breathwork, meditation, candlelit yin yoga with live piano, and restorative yoga to a soundbath to stay feeling centred.

• Cultural Experiences: A Gnawa music show with traditional folk dancing.

• Adventure Activity: A refreshing excursion to a nearby natural gorge.

• Social Dance Events: In-house social party with a live-stream DJ and a local Sunday SBK social in the city (end-of-festival edition).

• Daily buffet breakfasts and six traditional Moroccan dinners. Explore the local cafes in the village for lunch.

What’s not included?

• Flights and travel insurance.

• Optional add-ons like private dance lessons, extra activities or extended stays

• Optional SBK Festival add-ons on Saturday: Boat Party and evening social.

• Transfers: Pick-up / drop-off to Agadir airport or bus station. Private transfer can be booked, or shared transfer can be organised amongst participants.

I have only booked a half-package of dance but I might change my mind. Can I upgrade to the full-retreat when I get there?
Workshop spaces are limited, however, if there is space you’ll be able to upgrade and pay the full-price difference on arrival for an extra 150€.

What kind of music will we dance to?

At the retreat, you’ll be learning Salsa and Brazilian Zouk—two extremely popular and accessible, social dance styles.

• Salsa – High-energy and playful. You’ll find salsa socials and communities all over the world.

• Brazilian Zouk – The future of Latin social dancing! Its smooth, flowing movements (which even inspired Sensual Bachata) make it one of the fastest-growing styles. Zouk is also one of the most versatile styles as you you can dance it to almost any music.

What’s the accommodation like?
You'll stay at The Lodge Boutique Accommodation in the heart of Tamraght. Stylish design and built for comfort–just a short walk to the beach. Choose between shared or private accommodation.

What should I bring?
Pack comfortable dance clothes, activewear, swimwear, sunscreen and essentials for yoga or beach activities. A detailed packing list will be provided before the retreat.

How do I get to Tamraght?
Fly into Agadir Airport, where we’ll pick-up for you from (included in the full-retreat package, and can be arranged for the half-retreats). If you’re arriving by bus from another city, transfers from Agadir’s bus station are also available.

What’s the payment process?
Reserve your spot with a 200€ non-refundable deposit. Option to pay in full or set up a payment plan. The remaining balance is due on 1st April, 2025.

Is there a payment plan?
Yes! We can set up a payment plan for you via Wise (no additional charges) or Paypal (plus transaction fees).

What’s the cancellation policy?
All payments are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, contact us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate or transfer your spot to another participant.

Can I extend my stay?
Yes! You can arrive early or stay longer to soak in Tamraght’s charm, enjoy more activities or simply relax in Morocco’s warm weather. If you’d like help planning your extended stay, reach out and we can help!
